Gameplay: All our mystery games play in the same general format. Players receive a character who they will roleplay. Using social deduction they will determine clues and and eliminate red herrings, ultimately deciding on a guess as to the culprit's identity. The guilty party is not determined randomly and is tied to each mystery's plot; the victim(s) are never eliminated from game play. Criminals do not know their guilt until the game's end--every player should suspect even themselves!

Destroy this Book: This game book includes everything you need to run the game with friends. The book is meant to be cut apart with pages distributed to different players. It is constructed in such a way that players can work through this mystery with or without a host who knows the outcome. There are spoiler warnings on pages to prevent ruining the mystery for players choosing to run this game without a host.

Theme:

The only thing colder than the leftovers… is the body.

Every year, the same group of frenemies gathers for their “Friendsgiving Feast.” But this year, the gravy isn’t the only thing thick with tension. As the drinks flow and the turkey cools, old betrayals bubble up with the cranberry sauce. And when one guest turns up very dead halfway through dinner, the rest must carve through the gossip, the grudges, and the gluten-free stuffing to find the killer among their closest friends.

Friendsgiving: Mashed Potatoes and Murder is a Thanksgiving-party-themed murder mystery party for 8-24 players by Christopher D. Schmitz.
